Insider guide

Shopping Phipps & Lenox.

Two Malls, One Corner

Two Simon malls face each other across Peachtree Rd at Lenox Rd in Buckhead: Phipps Plaza, with Saks, Nordstrom and more than 50 luxury shops, and the larger Lenox Square, anchored by Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s. Between them they hold most of Atlanta’s big-name designer boutiques, so a serious shopping day usually takes in both.

Both malls park free. Phipps has about 3,700 spaces on garage levels P1–P3, plus $5 valet at the Peachtree Rd and Lenox Rd entrances and six EV chargers on P3 by Monarch Court. Lenox has 8,000 spaces in three decks, with valet by Nike and in the Neiman Marcus lot. MARTA’s Lenox Station sits next to Lenox Square, and from there it’s a short walk along Lenox Rd to Phipps, or take bus 25.

Phipps Plaza

The Court of the South on Level 1 is the luxury core. Gucci, Tom Ford and Tiffany & Co. sit together there, and Vacheron Constantin, the Swiss watchmaker founded in 1755, is across from Tiffany. Park on deck level P2 or P3 by the Court of the South vestibule and Saks is steps away too. Saks anchors the south end with designer handbags, shoes, a men’s store and the Fifth Avenue Club styling service, and Nordstrom spans two levels near the Court of the South.

The rest of Level 1 spreads out by entrance. Dior is near the Peachtree Rd entrance, Fendi is by the Saks wing entrance, and Christian Louboutin and ZEGNA, the Italian house that began weaving wool in 1910, are closest to The Green entrance. Bvlgari, the Roman jeweler founded in 1884, is near Monarch Court. Hermès sells leather bags, silk scarves, ties and fragrance, and LOEWE, founded in 1846, is known for its leather craftsmanship. Hermès is closed on Sunday, so plan any bag or scarf appointment for Monday to Saturday.

Lenox Square

At Lenox, the luxury wing is on the third floor on the west side by Neiman Marcus. Louis Vuitton, Prada, Burberry and David Yurman are all there, so park in the Neiman Marcus deck and do the wing in one loop. Neiman Marcus itself carries Prada, Gucci, Burberry, Dior and Tom Ford with personal styling, and Burberry is the place for trench coats and weatherproof outerwear.

Bloomingdale’s is on the Plaza Level on the west side by the Dining Pavilion, with designer and contemporary fashion, beauty and home, including items sold first or only at Bloomingdale’s. The Apple store is on the third floor by the main entrance, with Genius support and free Today at Apple sessions.

Eating and Timing

Lokma Mediterranean Kitchen is inside Phipps Plaza, and Lenox has its Dining Pavilion on the Plaza Level. For a sit-down meal, Nobu Atlanta, the Japanese-Peruvian restaurant of the Nobu Hotel, is at 3520 Peachtree Rd NE. Tomo, in the Ritz-Carlton Residences, serves an eight-course plated chef’s tasting before the sushi.

Phipps shops mostly run Monday to Saturday 11am–8pm and Sunday noon–6pm. Nordstrom, Hermès and ZEGNA close at 7pm, Gucci closes at 7pm Monday to Thursday, and Tom Ford opens at 10am Monday to Thursday. Lenox opens an hour earlier, at 10am, and stays open to 7pm on Sunday, though Bloomingdale’s opens at 11am. On a Sunday, do Phipps first, since it closes an hour before Lenox.
