Insider guide
Shopping Ponce City.
The Building
Ponce City Market fills the former Sears, Roebuck and Co. building at 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, which Sears used from 1926 to 1987 and which reopened as the market in August 2014. It sits between Glen Iris Dr and the Eastside BeltLine, and the shopping continues into the 619 Ponce building at the Glen Iris Dr corner. Plan a half-day: home, fashion and gift shops, lunch in the food hall and The Roof after.
Self-parking is in the Main and North Avenue decks (levels 2–5, entrance near Pancake Social) and the Lower Level Deck (entrance near Sweetgreen), paid by QR code or text: $3.60 for the first hour, $5.60 for two and $12.60 for three, so plan a focused loop. Valet runs seven days from North Ave. By transit, take MARTA to North Ave station and then Bus 2 or 102. Coming along the Eastside BeltLine, use the third-floor entrance and walk through The Shed and The Trestle to the second-floor local shops.
Local Shops Upstairs
Several of the independents sit on the second floor. Citizen Supply is a makers’ marketplace with handmade goods, clothing and small-batch products from independent makers, good for gifts made in and around Atlanta. On the second floor of the Central Food Hall, Dragon Denim, designer Rayna Lee Parks’ brand founded in 2018, sells ready-to-wear and custom denim jackets next door to Rhen’s Nest Toy Shop, which picks toys, books and puzzles for unplugged play.
Around the building, Archer Paper Goods, one of the market’s longest-running local shops, sells cards, notebooks and small gifts. Bridge Boutique carries vintage-inspired women’s clothing and home decor, and Souk Bō’hēmian is styled on a North African bazaar, with clothing, home goods and handmade accessories in a muted palette. Posman Books, here since 2016, stocks new fiction, nonfiction and children’s books. Mood Fabrics, the New York Garment District fabric house known from Project Runway, sells designer textiles and notions and runs sewing workshops, and Collier Candy Company stocks retro candy and chocolates.
National Brands
Sézane, the French label’s first Atlanta store, opened in Suite E182 in November 2025 with blouses, knits, outerwear and GOTS-certified denim. Anthropologie occupies the building’s former shipping conveyor space. For home, West Elm sits at the corner of Glen Iris Dr and Ponce de Leon Ave, a few steps from Rejuvenation, Williams-Sonoma’s lighting and house-parts brand (this was its first East Coast store), and Sugarboo & Co for art, signs and gifts. Pottery Barn has more than 18,000 sq ft on the ground floor of the 619 Ponce building, with an outdoor patio and an in-store design studio. Glossier and Sephora handle beauty, and Warby Parker does eye exams in store.
Eating Between Shops
Stay in the Central Food Hall, which is open until 10pm daily. Terminal 26 does Thai street food such as boat noodles, a khao soi roti wrap and crab fried rice. NoriFish makes hand rolls with fish from Tokyo’s Toyosu market, Okiboru serves ramen and tsukemen, and El Super Pan is chef Hector Santiago’s Puerto Rican and Cuban counter. Off-site on N Highland Ave, Fishmonger does a blackened grouper sandwich, and Madeira Park pairs aged Madeira with shareable plates. Finish on The Roof, with an all-day wristband for mini golf, games and skyline views ($6 weekdays, $10 weekends).
When to Go
Retail runs Monday to Saturday 10am–9pm and Sunday 11am–6pm, but many shops set their own hours. Archer Paper Goods keeps the full 10am–9pm Monday to Saturday, Bridge Boutique and Souk Bō’hēmian open at 11am, Mood Fabrics opens at noon except on Friday and Saturday, and Warby Parker closes at 7pm. Citizen Supply is closed Monday and Tuesday and opens at noon the rest of the week, so save the second floor for a Wednesday-to-Sunday afternoon. Many of the national brands don’t post hours here, so check before a special trip.
