Georgia State’s campus is downtown, around Five Points. A pedestrian-only stretch of Broad Street with shops runs beside Five Points station, which is being rebuilt through about 2028; the Broad Street plaza entrance is closed, so use the Forsyth St entrance. The Peachtree Center mall, connected to Peachtree Center station, has shops, restaurants and a food court. Underground Atlanta, beside Five Points, was sold in November 2020 and is being redeveloped as a mixed-use complex.

The Georgia State University Bookstore, run by Follett, has its main store at 66 Courtland St SE: textbooks (including rentals, used copies and ebooks), team apparel, gifts, electronics, school and dorm supplies, and snacks. Hours change with the school calendar and aren’t posted, so check bkstr.com/georgiastatestore before you go. Phone 404-413-9700.

Inman Park, Krog Street and Little Five Points

Georgia State station is on the Blue and Green lines, and so is Inman Park/Reynoldstown, the stop for Krog Street Market and the Eastside Trail. There, A Cappella Books (208 Haralson Ave NE) sells new, used and antiquarian books, The Merchant and Xocolatl chocolate are inside Krog Street Market (99 Krog St NE), and Patagonia has its BeltLine flagship at 124 Krog St NE.

Little Five Points is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the same station: Junkman’s Daughter (464 Moreland Ave NE) for clothing, tees and gifts, Rag-O-Rama (1111 Euclid Ave NE), which buys clothes daily 11am to 7pm, Wax 'n' Facts (432 Moreland Ave NE) for records, and Stratosphere Skateboards (466 Moreland Ave NE).

Three MARTA Stations

Three MARTA rail stations serve the campus. Georgia State station (Blue and Green lines) is inside the James H. Floyd State Office Building, with exits on Piedmont Ave and Jesse Hill Jr. Dr. Five Points (20 Broad St SW) is the hub on all four lines. Peachtree Center (Red and Gold) is closest to the Aderhold Learning Center and the University Commons and Piedmont North dorms. The Atlanta Streetcar loop runs east on Edgewood Ave and west on Auburn Ave, with a stop at the Sweet Auburn Curb Market.
